The art of JR becomes a limited edition to support the Rione Sanità
A project that brings together art, wine, and social commitment, inspired by the work created by the celebrated French artist JR on the façade of the Naples Cathedral as part of the exhibition “Chi sei, Napoli?”, hosted at the Gallerie d’Italia from May 22 to October 5, 2025. A special edition that is part of the broader “Be Curious” journey,
with which Feudi di San Gregorio has supported the Fondazione di Comunità San Gennaro and its artistic and social initiatives since 2014. DUBL Brut Edition “Le Cronache di Napoli” is thus an invitation to look at the city with new eyes, to support its finest energies, and to toast to a living, layered, and beautiful community.
With a limited print run of 2,000 copies, the label of DUBL Brut Edition “Le Cronache di Napoli” extends over time the experience of the exhibition and was created with a deeply charitable purpose.
The photograph of the work “Le Cronache di Napoli”, which wraps around the bottle, was donated by the artist to bring this special edition to life, with the proceeds going entirely to the Fondazione di Comunità San Gennaro, which has been operating for years in the Rione Sanità with educational, cultural, and social inclusion projects aimed at the young people of the neighborhood.
JR (1983) is among the most celebrated photographers and street artists internationally. He is known for his monumental black-and-white photographic installations, displayed in public spaces and capable of transforming entire urban contexts into open-air galleries. His work weaves together art and social commitment, addressing themes such as identity, community, and marginality. Through large-format portraits, JR gives visibility to ordinary people all over the world, restoring centrality to often invisible stories. The Artist took part in this initiative solely to support the Fondazione di Comunità San Gennaro.
