CAMPO ALLE COMETE

Arriving at Campo alle Comete means stepping into a world suspended between earth and sky, where you can stroll for a long while, guided by bright stars. The name skillfully evokes the soul of the place, so rich in history and magic, bringing the mind back to childhood images of ancient scents and soft thistles. The atmosphere immediately feels familiar amid the emotion of the vineyards and a myriad of flavors and aromas. It is, in fact, a project born with the desire to convey not only tradition and experience, but also poetry and imagination, to amaze with memorable tastes and aromas.

When the ancient Etruscan history meets the magical reality of Campo alle Comete, the result is a winery that resembles an observatory from which to gaze at the starry sky and where, lost in its immensity, one can find small luminous comets. Leaving behind the early 20th-century villa, you arrive at the winery, where you are welcomed by barriques arranged in a semicircle together with about 160 tonneaux that hold the future Bolgheri wines as they age.

On the hill of the Tower of Donoratico, in one of the highest points of Bolgheri, overlooking the sea and dominating the entire denomination, Campo alle Comete was the first to plant, with vision and courage, the new vineyards of the winery, the promise of an exceptional wine with a unique history. Beneath the ruins of the medieval tower of Donoratico, 4 hectares of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc vineyards grow, benefiting from the magical light of Bolgheri, the breeze rising from the sea, and a rich, varied soil. This is where Torre alle Comete is born, a Bolgheri Superiore capable of representing like no other the beauty and magic of the territory.
