The territories where quality begins

The FeudiStudi wines

Campanian viticulture is nothing more than the result of many "small stories" made by populations who have preserved the most ancient traditions, a mosaic composed of communities, valleys and hills, memories and cultures that history has consolidated over time. The wines of a land are not merchandise but stories of life. They express the hills from which they originated, they narrate stories of the men who, generation after generation, created them.

FeudiStudi wines are born from the desire to tell the story — through uncompromising choices of vinification and aging byPierpaolo Sirch — of the richness of our most expressive vineyards, selected each year from among the over 800 vineyards available, based on the characteristics of the vintage.

The wines derived from this project are therefore unique pieces, produced in limited quantities (approximately 2,000 bottles) and not intended for traditional commercial channels. We have chosen an exclusive bottle, a re-edition of the first Bordeaux-style bottles of the 17th century, beginning in 2011 with a Taurasi cru, subsequently joined by other iconic "single vineyard" wines of Fiano, Greco, and Aglianico.

Another exclusive curiosity is Sirica, an ancient variety that had disappeared, rediscovered by Feudi di San Gregorio and vinified as a pure varietal.

Irpinia through
FeudiStudi

Irpinia is the historic name of the province of Avellino, a department of Campania, one of the largest and most populated regions in southern Italy. Irpinia is the name of an area with deeply rooted agricultural traditions, where some of the most original and long-lived wines in Europe are born: the red Taurasi, the whites Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo. Irpinia is the name of a unique territory from many points of view: Mediterranean latitudes, mountain viticulture, a fresh and rainy climate, wines very far from "southern" stereotypes in style and character. This is why the best Irpinia bottles are regularly compared to renowned wines from decidedly more northern districts: Langa, Rhône, Bordeaux for the reds, Chablis, Loire, Rheingau, Wachau for the whites.

Irpinia is the next great home of world wine. Irpinia is a puzzle to be completed piece by piece, hill after hill, cru after cru. Irpinia is a great journey of surprises, FeudiStudi its most up-to-date gps.

An ancient hinterland

Irpinia, our Land

Irpinia, a historic region of the Campanian Apennines, is a unique wine-growing territory where vineyards have always coexisted with fruit trees, woodlands, olive groves, and aromatic herbs. A land that is both rugged and gentle, marked by strong character and intense sensations. An ancient hinterland whose vines are already documented in the writings of Pliny, Columella, and Strabo.

The layout of the soils in the Irpinia territory is remarkably varied: a continuous succession of mountains, hills, and plains, interspersed with waterways.

The orographic configuration creates wind patterns that gift the region abundant rainfall and shape a microclimate that sets it apart within Campania: the vegetation is rich and dense; winters, though short, are harsh and snowy, and summers are mild and lingering.

We're not talking about Campania, we're talking about Irpinia!

Our story begins in 1986, in Irpinia, in Central Campania — mountainous, rainy, often blanketed in snow

during winter. A different kind of South from the classic stereotypes with a great winemaking tradition and mineral-rich soils.

Here Feudi di San Gregorio has built its history founded on the enhancement of extraordinary and still little-known native grape varieties – Greco, Fiano, Falanghina, Aglianico – and monumental vines over two hundred years old. It has done so with a strongly contemporary spirit, curious, open to cross-pollination with the worlds of creativity, such as design and art.

We believe in the value of beautythat lasts and is born from the combination of aesthetic vision and commitmentresponsible. We have transformed Feudi di San Gregorio into a Benefit Corporation, achieved the Equalitas certification and certified the entire group as B Corp. Today, investing in aconcrete way in environmental, cultural, social and economic regeneration is the only possible path to pursue our corporate vocation.

So many initiatives are born from this commitment, such as our Viticultural Protocol, developed in partnership with cutting-edge Research Institutes to protect the biodiversity of our territories and to cultivate our vineyards in a respectful way; our program for our grape suppliers; and our efforts to minimize resource consumption: from the full use of renewable sources to meet our energy needs, to the recovery and recycling of rainwater, to reducing the environmental impact of our packaging, all the way to our pledge to achieve climate neutrality.

Finally, we pursue a vision: that art and culture can spark a positive change at both local and social levels.
